I am Gaby Melian!
A professional chef with over two decades of experience in the culinary industry. I was born into a culinary family in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where I learned the art of cooking and the joy of good eating from a young age, thanks to the wonderful dishes prepared by my relatives.
After graduating with a degree in Journalism, I relocated to the USA. I attended the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City to pursue my passion for becoming a chef. There, I had the privilege of working alongside remarkable chefs and food educators, which ignited my true passion for teaching and sharing my culinary knowledge with others.
Throughout my career, I have held various roles, including Private Chef, Culinary Instructor, Purchasing Supervisor, Test Kitchen Manager, Kitchen Organizer, and Restaurant Consultant, among others.
I am also the author of two books: βFood-Related Storiesβ and βGabyβs Latin American Kitchen.β I share my knowledge of food, cooking, and life skills on various social media platforms. My kitchen, Gabyβs Kitchen, serves as a culinary school, test kitchen, and my creative workspace. My passion for organizing kitchens, homes, and other spaces has helped many people. I am writing about and soon will share an outlet for everyone to learn more about how to get organized forever!
I live in Jersey City, New Jersey, with my dog, Pucho.
